    Robert Fitzroy was born on 1805 and was soon going to become the captain of the Beagle.

    Charles Darwin was born in England on the year 1809. He would then join Robert Fitzroy on the HMS beagle to take a trip around the world.
  • The first time the HMS Beagle sets Sail!

    The first time the HMS Beagle sets Sail!
    The HMS set sail on it's first voyage in 1826. Instead of the planned 2 years, the HMS Beagle voyage nearly took 5 years to be done on it's journey. They were going to explore South America from 1826-1830.
  • The second Voyage

    After South America, the ship carried three Fuegians back to Tierra del Fugo, and also Charles Darwin. Soon after that Charles Darwin was recruited as the ship's naturalist. Then they were off to go all around the world and explore it.
  • The 3rd and Final Voyage of the Beagle

    Charles Darwin and Robert Fitzroy were on the way to the Australian coast. They were under the command of Commander John Clements Wick ham. Soon Charles Darwin and Robert would find out the Victoria and Adelaide rivers existed. The beagle returned to England in 1843, finishing the 5 year voyage.
  • Darwin's idea of Natural Selection

    This idea was presented to the Society of London in 1858. The president of the society still didn't believe that what he had found out was good enough to be publicly announced.
