Beagle voyage reaches Argentina and Darwin is amazed with all the fossils he has seen. Additionally, Captain FitzRoy repatriates 3 natives he had taken to England on a previous voyage and tries to start a Christian mission- which horribly fails.

The Beagle crossed the equator, and Darwin expressed his disagreement with being shaved. He also reaches Brazil, and sees a tropical rainforest for the first time.

The Beagle voyage reaches Falkland Islands. At first Darwin doesn’t see it as much, but eventually he finds brachiopods fossils inside some rocks.

Darwin is back in Argentinian lowland areas, he mingles with the locals (gauchos), and seems to really like their lifestyle.

The Beagle voyage makes it to Chile. While there, Darwin sees Mount Osorno erupt & experiences an earthquake.

Darwin is now in the Galapagos Islands and discovers what he thought to be unique species of birds, plants and tortoises- some of which end up being the same as back on the mainland.

Darwin explores Cocos Islands (Keeling Islands) and is awed by the coral reefs. He then makes his way to the neighboring island of Mauritius and explores uncultivated plains and black lava.

The voyage reaches South America in an unexpected detour and Darwin explores the jungles, at this point Darwin expresses to be home and sea sick.
