Pictures of Frankfurt
Daniel was looking through the photo album and was remembering everything that happened. It was his 6th birthday March 30,1933 and Daniel was calling his teachers names and saying that he hated her. -
Public School
Going to a public school for daniel was tough. His teacher Mr. Schneider makes fun of him and all out disrespectful. Showing Educational Discrimination by saying," Jews are not our equal. They never where. -
Id cards
Germans made id cards have a big J for all of the jews and having to have their names as a jews name to sign. This shows dehumanization for the jews not being able to choose their child's name. -
Ghetto
All jews where moved to the ghetto where the winters where freezing cold. Most of the people died from the winter. The Germans Dehumanized the people making them freeze during the winters. -
Uncle Peter
Daniel and his family gets a package from Uncle Peter that the Nazi sent. It was Uncle Peter's ashes. They used Uncle Peter as a threat to tell his family that if u don't obey them this could happen. -
Rosa
Daniel meets with Rosa his first time and she catches him in his underwear taking the fleas off his clothes, shook his hand and jokes with him as she says," I used to watch monkeys at the zoo do this and think it was funny. Maybe god is watching us and thinking this is funny too." -
House
Rosa tells Daniel about the father who steals there kids rations and tells him that they should do something about it. So later on when the kids and his father was out the house they took the fathers rations and left a threatening note. It worked as the father never took his kids rations again. -
Living space
Daniel and his father where put in a barack with 800 different men and three of them had to share one straw pallet. They all laid on the cold floor and at 4:30 am where beaten and kicked out into the freezing cold of the field outside. -
Death march
Daniel and his father and everyone else in the Auschwitz camp were leaving because the allied forces were coming close. They all were marching and the ones that fell or stumble where shot. They came to a stop and where disinfected and got new clothes. They later found out that they were now Buchenwald camp -
Gas chamber
Daniel gets punched and handed the camera by Kapo. He walks up to the gas chamber to take a picture and feels he should just jump in but his father stops him. Instead he takes the pictures of the gas chamber to fight against genocide. -
Camp
Daniel arrives at a nazi camp after getting caught by a German soldier and getting put on a freight train. As he walks he sees his mother,father,and erika. He was put with his family and other jews and started selection. Choosing who is going to be murdered or slaves. -
Soup
Rosa and Daniel had Jobs a different factories. Rosa work at sewing and Daniel at metal. Rosa was so mad that they gave them so little soup that they cooked in the corrupted kitchen, that Rosa didn't eat and the others didn't either that she got fired, Showing Employment Discrimination. But getting fired makes it more likely your going to transport so Daniel helped out and shared there factories soup and the sewing employes go there jobs back. -
Freedom
Daniel and all of the rest of the prisoners were finally free. Everyone was free to walk around to camp and eat as much food as they want. Daniel wanted to know if it was true so he walked out the gates and saw the beautiful green grass and the insects and flowers,then started to cry,trying to hold back his tears. -
Picture day
Daniel gets his new job at the camp as a photographer with the head photographer Karl. A family came in to take a picture a father and his wife with 2 kids. Later that day daniel went to get a chemical for a different place and saw the guy who got his picture taken with his family and he shot a kid who missed a spot of dirt and keep firing at him until dead. -
Workers
The Other workers are showing the Nazi they are worker hard but are actually working slow. They Know that the Allies are nearing the Camp cite. Every night when they were done working they would Take apart there work so the Gas chamber would be slower to build
