Germans moved the prisoner into town loading them all into the trains to be moved to new location -

Daniel had arrived at Buchenwald. Buchenwald was nicer than Auschwitz they are being fed they are not working and it is warmer because there lot of people inside the the rooms keeping them all warm -
New job
Daniel was given a job of photographs to take picture of nazi’s and their family on request while daniel father was making furniture for the nazi’s -
new Gas chamber
One of the kapo had told them that they planned to build a gas chamber there and told them that they must be ready for the Russian to come an save them all -

A kapo asked them to make sure that the gas chamber will never be built there -

Daniel had gotten to listen to a radio again after months -
Leaving
Daniel was 18 year old now on another train heading off somewhere new but this time he sitting in chair and has some of his picture -

They took control over the camp and they were all free as they raised a white bedsheet so the Americans knew not to attack there -
Father's wound
Daniel’s father bullet wound was not serious the bullet had not lodged in the bone but instead whizzed through the fleshy part of his arm. He asked for a shower and when he was clean they disinfected the wound and wrapped it in clean gauze. -

Daniel stared at looking into a mirror he found he wondered who that tall gaunt boy with large blue eyes were it felt like he was looking at a stranger -
the night of the uprising
The night of the uprising Daniel and his father slept in a hospital complex all around them were signs of Nazi brutality and viciousness body parts floating in bottles and needles filled and ready for use layed neatly on a table -
Freedom at last
Daniel woke up finally realizing that he was free. He stood and screamed “we’re free! Free!” he walked threw the camp watching other celebrating he went to gate of camp and walk through it to have some sort of proof that he was really free he cried with joy as he looked upon the beautiful view from outside the gate -
First American Soldier
That night an American soldier had showed up and Daniel had taken his photo of the happy kind soldier -
Unfortunate deaths
Most pictures were wonderful but other picture were not so pretty they showed walking skeletons, men too weak to survive who died in the thousands over the next few weeks they showed pits full of corpses and huts filled with dead bodies they showed camp guards on their knees begging to be set free they whined that they had just been following orders and that they were innocent even that they had helped Jewish friends. -
Now incharge
Daniel had taken a photo of a farmhouse not far from buchenawald karl had made daniel part of the militia that ran the camp they had went out to collect supplies most died because they ate too much rich food most because they were too weak to rehain their health. -

Peter's death
A doctor take Daniel and his father to see peter as Daniel held his friend peter’s hand he felt how cold he was peter whispered to Daniel for him to find his family and Daniel promises to find peter family as peter dies -
Looking for Rosa
Daniel father and daniel decided that peter would have a real funereal. Daniel’s father goes looking for peter family while daniel goes and looks for Rosa. He found rosa sitting in a chair infront of his old apartment as she read a book she looked heathy and not as skinny as he once remember her -
Found Rosa
Daniel proposes to Rosa and she says yes to him for once Daniel is feeling happiness once again -
The Promise
Daniel and rosa promise to never forget what had happen to them they would remember the tradtic event that had happen and will become stronger and never become what hateful and mean. -

Rosa tell daniel that she saw Erika. She explain to him that when she found her she was weak and dying. Rosa stayed with erika holding her hand until she died
