  • Declaration of Independence

    Declaration of Independence
    The Declaration of independence was passed on July 4th 1776 and It was signed on August 2nd 1776. This is a huge part of U.S. history as it is the day we became free from Britain and became our own country. We still have the Declaration of Independence is in a museum. It is also a national holiday on July 4th.
  • The Louisiana Purchase

    The Louisiana Purchase
    The Louisiana Purchase was when Thomas Jefferson bought Louisiana from the French. Napoleon, the leader of France, needed money quick, so he sold the entire Louisiana territory to the U.S.A. The United State got full control of the Mississippi River and that created more jobs and it was easier to transport products. The U.S. also doubled in size.
  • Lewis and Clark Journey

    Lewis and Clark Journey
    Lewis and Clark were two explorers. They and a crew of people went on a trip down the Mississippi River. They explored the territory that was bought by the United States in the Louisiana Purchase. They met Native Americans. Some of the Native Americans helped then like Sacagawea and other. They helped them in their journey. They discovered new plant and animals species and made maps of the territory. It took nearly 2 years.
  • The California Gold Rush

    The California Gold Rush
    During the California Gold Rush, somebody found gold and everybody went to California to pan for the gold. People from all over the world came in search of gold. Even though lots of people found gold, the people who made the most money were merchants because they raised the prices of tool people needed to look for the gold. People bought the tools and the merchants became rich. Many people did not travel back after the Gold Rush, and this is how the United States became more diverse.
  • Titanic Sank

    Titanic Sank
    The Titanic was a huge ship that was one of the biggest of its time. It collided with an iceberg and sank on April 15th 1912. It had previously been called indestructible but was sunken by and iceberg. About 1,500 people died on it when it sank. It has a big impact on society today as there are changes in Maritime policy. It is still a big tragedy even today.
  • Founding of the Warriors

    Founding of the Warriors
    The Golden State Warriors are my favorite basketball team. They were founded in 1946 and since then they have won 5 titles including 3 in the last 5 years. They have been one of the best teams in basketball recently.
  • Founding of the Bills

    Founding of the Bills
    My favorite football team is the Buffalo Bills. They were founded 1960. They have never won a title but I am very optimistic about them this year. This year is there 59th season.
  • 9/11 Terrorist Attacks

    9/11 Terrorist Attacks
    The day 9/11 of 2001 was a horrible day as it was the day because four terrorists captured planes and crashed them into different place, the most notable being the Twin Towers, but the also hit the Pentagon. The final plane was heading for the White House but the passengers took the plane back and crashed it into a field in PA.This day is still of importance to the US because now airports are so much more strict than before and it began a beef between the US and Afghanistan and its still going.
