Ky the main guy charachter is off at war but he doesnt really fight he is more of a actor. he prentends to be a villager to make the eneimy think the village is still populated. Cassia the main girl character is off at a farming camp, where they basically force them to work and plant flowers and plow fields. Cassia and Ky are in love so she wants to try to find him. -

more people are dieing in the village where Ky is but him and hisone friend Vic still remain and have been alive for the longest. they just got new recruits and Ky thinks one of the newer younger boys looks like cassias younger brother but its not him his name is Eli. Cassia and her match get to visit, his name is xander they are suppose to be in love but Kassia loves Ky who is an abberation so they are not ever supoose to be together. but they love eachother and Xanders knows and doesnt care. -

Eli,Vic, and Ky decide to run away from the village and try to find the rebbelion farms where people have previously run off to. they run all night to avoid being shot. they are able to find a cave where other people have placed books and paintings. Cassia is called to get on a plane to be transported somewhere else. it ends up she as transported to where Ky used to be, but he had just left. -

Cassia and her Friend Indie ask around to find out where Ky has run off to so she can find him. so they run and run but dont find Ky. Ky,Vic, and Eli fish ain a small stream for food and catch fish. the next morning Eli finds Vic dead from and arrow that had hit him from above. -

Ky, and Eli have to moe away from where they were in order to not be shot. Indie and Cassia are still runing and have to climb a mountain in order to get into the canyon and find Ky. They finally meet up and sleep in an old village they find with no one there. Ky takes them to the place where thye found all the books and paintings so they can take some to use to trade with the rebbelion people in order to get into there village. -

they all are able to find food in the houses that were left by the rebels. they slowly explore the canyon and the uniquie things the rebels had left that thy had never seen in the strict society. -

Ky spots a light outside of the small cabin they sleep in and discorvers one of the rebels. his name is hunter and he is going to help them reach the rebbelion and find the village. he left it to bury his daughter in the spot where he had been born where her mom had dies ginving birth to her. the daughter was only 7. -

Ky doesn qiute belive in the ways of the rebels so he doesnt really want to find them, he thinks he can live on his own in this old village. but Cassia and Indie really want to find it and Cassia is torn between freedom and living with rebbelion and her love for Ky. they are trying to decide what to do and Hunter already has a boat ready to sail to the village but it only fits two people and there are 5. -

Eli and Ky both decidethye will go to the rebbelion and walkall the way around the mountain with Hunter. while Indie and Cassia take the boat throught the wild river. Cassia is not paying attention when Indie says to lean right and is thrown out of the boat but they fall out in a perfet calm spot in the river and are able to keep going. -

Cassia and Indie are still sailingwhen the y come to a lake. it is a bit dark outside and they see a boat coming towards them they think and hope its the rebels. it ends up it is the rebels and they take them back to there camp and assign them work. Cassia has to go back to society and be a spy while Indie is assigned to be a air ship pilot. Ky makes is to the rebel camp and is also assigned to be a air ship pilot. Cassia and Ky are now far apart again......
