A man was found in a fireplace. Temperance Brennan was called for the job to identify who the person was. -
Avram Ferris found dead
Avram Ferris was found dead in an office closet. The death looked like suicide, but Temperance Brennan wasn't so sure. -
Kessler and the mysterious picture
A man, who called himself Kessler showed Temperance Brennan a picture of a skeleton. On the back of the picture was the date, 1963. Kessler said that this picture was the reason that Avram Ferris had been killed. -
Interview with Purviance
Ryan and Temperance then interview Purviance. She was Avram Ferris' secratary. They found no answers with her. -
Interview with the Ferris family
Temperance Brennan and her partner, Ryan, interviewed Miriam Ferris and Dora Ferris. Miriam the wife and Dora the mother. Ryan and Temperance asked the two women about the photo and if they had known anything about why he was killed. -
Temperance goes and talks to Morrissonneaue
Morrissonnueaue was one of the men present at Ferris' autopsy. Curious, Temperance goes to him and shows him the mysterious photo she was given. Morrissonnueaue surprisingly had the bones of that skeleton. He said that Ferris had given them to him for hidding and safe keeping. Temperance takes the skeleton with her back to her lab. There, she gives it an autopsy. -
Temperance goes to Isreal
After giving the mysterios skeleton an autopsy, Temperance calls her friend Jake. He is a biblical archeologist. She asks him what he thinks about the skeleton. Jake freaks out and tell Temperance to go Isreal and so she does. -
Morrissonneaue found dead
Shortly after Temprance's arrival to Isreal, Morrissonneaue is found dead. -
Temperance and Jake go a tomb
Temperance and Jake go to a tomb. They are looking for any signs of evidence that the mysterious skeleton they have goes there. -
Stoned
While inside, they are stoned by people who think they should not be in there messing with the dead. Temperance also finds herself fighing off a wild animal in the tomb with them. They are forced out of the tomb and leave the skeleton there. Temperance also finds another skeleton. They come back and the mysterious skeleton is missing and the new skeleton still there. -
Hotel room trashed
After coming back from the tomb, Temperance finds her room trashed. It scares her because she is realizing that a certain person isn't playing around and that these skeletons must be important. This only makes her want to find out more. -
Botnik found dead
When Botnik is found dead Temperance is very confused and scared. She can't find Jake and she just found a dead person. -
Jake goes missing
Jake goes missing and it scares Temperance. She hadn't hear from in a while and went looking for him. After not finding him at his house, she reads his voice messages. One message is from a man named Botnik. So, Temperance goes to see Botnik hoping to find Jake as well. -
Temperance held at gunpoint
Shortly after finding Botnik, Temperance is held at gunpoint by Purviance. While under the situation Temperance finds out that it was Purviance all along who kills Ferris. She was jealous. She wanted money from the mysterious skeleton but wasn't given any. So she murdered him and made it look like suicide. -
Car crash
Purviance hears footsteps and grabs the mysterious skeletong. She runs away leaving Temperance all alone. Jake comes to her rescue. Together, they go on a chase to get the bones back. In the process of doing so, they crash Purviances car. The car is tipped and starts leaking, meaning it will blow up soon. Jake and Temperance struggle to free Purviance. They end up doing so but not saving the mysterious skeleton. Purviance is arrested and bones are destroyed.
