    Cyclopes

    Cyclopes
Odysseus and his men steal food and other items from the Cyclopes cave. I learned that Odysseus escapes death by blinding the Cyclopes. I learned that the plan was to steal the items and leave, but Odysseus was curious on how the Cyclopes looked. Odysseus and his men were trapped in the Cyclopes cave. To distract the Cyclopes Odysseus gives them wine and stabs him in the eye. Odysseus and his men escapes the cave by hiding under the sheep.

    The Bag of Winds

    The Bag of Winds
The wind king gives Odysseus wind for the ship to move so he can get to Ithaca. While Odysseus was sleeping, his men opened the bag thinking that there was gold and silver inside of it. I learned that by being nosey it shows that they're greedy and doesn't trust Odysseus. I also learned that this action causes the king of the wind not wanting to help them get back home.

The Trojan was between the people of Troy. This war took place during the 12th or the 13th century. The conflict starts when Menelaus demanded her return and the Trojans refused. The Lotus eaters

    The Lotus eaters
The Louts eaters are referred to as the lotophagi . This was one of the tribes that was encounterd by Odyessus. The people that ate the Louts flowers or fruits were able to sleep peacefully which caused them wanting to not go home. I learned that Odysseus and his scouts were set up by the local inhabitants which caused them to separate. I learned that the Louts eaters are a distraction to Odysseus trying to return home just like cellphones and social media can distract me from being successful.

    Circe

    Circe
Circe is an evil person because she cased a spell on a group of Odysseus' men and turned them into pigs. When Odysseus goes to rescue them, Hermes approaches him in the form of a young man. Odysseus eats dinner with Circe and she realizes that he isn't happy so she turns his men back to human because she likes him. I learned that Odysseus is determined to try to get his men turned back into because he's loyal to them. I learned that people that are mean to you ends up liking you just like Circe
  • Cyclopes Anyalis

I learned that Odysseus likes to brag. Due to him liking to brag, the Cyclopes cast a spell on Odysseus and his men that they'll all die and that he'll return home to trouble.
