    "Spacewar", by most people, was considered the first true computer game or digital game the was released. The game was played by two players would move around star that would pull them in with its gravity. They would have to avoid hitting the stars while trying to shoot each other with missiles.

    The floppy disk was invented by Alan Shugart at IBM. Having a 5.25 inch diameter, this disk was used on the first IBM Personal Computer. It held 360 kilobites.

    The CD was born in a meeting between Sony and Philips in 1979. They were thinking about the size, shape, and technology the CD would bring. It measure 115 millimeters in diameter, 1.2 millimeters thick, and held 74 minutes worth of storage.
