    A multi user operating system that is being based off of in modern day operating systems. Is used today in Apple’s new OS, the Mac OS X

    A card that has indents on the surface. Used in analytical machines of its time.

    An early computer that responded to punch cards. Did not talk like ours do today with binary code.

    A universal automatic computer used in large companies. Also known as a mainframe computer of its time.

    An early, microcomputer that started the PC craze. Based on Intel’s 8080 CPU, this machine could be ordered only through mail.
  • Abacus

    Calculating tool used primarily in parts of Asia for performing arithmetic processes.
