During the Cold War the U.S and U.S.S.R were fighting. Cold War is a state of tension between two countries. The difference between Cold War and War is the two countries aren't actually fighting. The Cold War took place in the United States between 1945 and 1989. The importance of this even is that it was close to war. Cold war impacted politics. It impacted politics because it was very close to war. -
Baby Boom
Men, women, and baby's were involved in the baby boom. When the men came back from WWII the had children with the women that were waiting for them to come back. During the war it was to expensive to have a family. The event took place during the 1945-1954, in the the United States. The importance of the event was many children were born in a short period of time. The baby boom impacted society because, many children were born after the war. Also, the birthrate grew to 29 million. -

The President of the United States and Rosa Parks were involved in this event. Rosa Parks was sitting in the front of the bus after a long day. Parks refused to give up her seat on the bus so she was arrested. The event took place in a bus on December 1, 1955. This event was important because it was an effort to end segregation. Rosa Parks impacted society because of the Montgomery bus boycott. The Montgomery bus boycott introduced non violent protest as a method for social equality. -

In this assassination John F. Kennedy, Lee Harvey Oswald, Lyndon Johnson, and Jack Ruby. During this event Oswald killed Kennedy when he was driving down the street. When Oswald was going to a prison Ruby shot him in the stomach. This event took place in Texas during 1963. This event was important because a President was assassinated. NASA attempted to send a civilian Christa McAuliffe who was a school teacher into space. This event involved an explosion. NASA wanted to revive the public interest. This event took place January 28, 1986 in Florida. Challenger explosion was important because NASA's director was fired. Challenger explosion impacted society because many people were shocked. Some people also died which caused a pause with sending off anymore space shuttles. -

George H.W. Bush was involved in this event. George H.W. Bush was Reagan's Vice President from Texas. Also, he was a navy pilot in WWII and a Republican. President Bush and Osama bin Laden were involved in the attack. four plains attacked the U.S. killing a lot of people. People on one plane became heroes because they stood up to the hijackers. September 11, 2001 took place in two different places New York, the Pentagon, and Pennsylvania. This event was important because it was the first time America was under attack since Pearl Harbor. September 11 affected society because many people died. September 11 also struck fear into humans everywhere.
