    The Marshall plan was made so that America could aid Europe after World War ll and help rebuild over there. America helped for four years so that they could remove trade barriers, modernize industry and make Europe prosperous again.

    The Berlin airlift was made so that the Western allies could carry supplies to the people in West Berlin. The United States Air Force and the British Royal Air Force worked together and flew over 200,000 flights in one year, deliving about 4700 tons of daily necessities to the people in Berlin.

    NATO, also known as North Atlantic Treaty Organization, was made so that nations could get together and talk through dissagreemeants. NATO's headquarters are in Brussels, Belgium.

  • Rosenberg Spy Case

    Ethel Greenglass Rosenberg and Julius Rosenberg were convicted and executed, for conspiracy to commit espionage during a time of war. These two were charged for the passing of information about atomic bombs to the Soviet Union. Ethel and Julius were the only two in US history to be executed for espionage.

    The Warsaw Pact was a mutual defense treaty between eight communists states of Eastern Europe that started during the Cold War. It was the military complement to the Council for Mutual Economic Assistance.

    The Fall of Berlin Wall happened because to many people wanted to travel to nearby countries. The citizens started a protest lasting until november and when they still didnt open the gates the protesters gathered around the checkpoints and finally pushed though the wall causing it to fall.
