Battle of Palo Duro Canyon
Major battle ending the Red River War. This battle started when one of Mackenzie's scouts found the Indian camp and notified the colonel. Makcenzie took the whole regement to the indian camp and led a suprise attack. They couldent find a good path down the steep cliff. They attempted to risk it and when they finnaly made it down thier was little resistanse and most of the indians fleed to saftey leeving the camps behind for the regement to destroy, -
Battle of Little Big Horn
it was a mojor indian victory for the Lakota, Northern Cheyenne, and Arapaho against general George Armstrong Custer's 700 men. The indans victory was because they managed to lead several small suprise attacks. They also surrounded and weekened custerd's defences. -
The Relocation Of The Nez Perce
The Neze Perce where known for their horse breeding and fishing skills but when they attempted to flee and take 800 indians to find a good place they where presued by 2000 soldiers who then captured them. -
The Capture of Geronimo
In 1883 they capture geronimo but that night he manages to escape and hop the border. The americans presued him till finnaly on september 4th 1886 they captured him and his offical surrender. he later died in 1909. -

The Ghost Dance Movement begins
Wovoka said she had a dreem where she met god and learned the ghost dance wich was intended to bring rain and good fortune. This led to a uprising in america and led to the wounded knee massacre. -
Wounded Knee Massacre
This Was in result of the Ghost Dance. Many americans thought it was a uprising so on dec. 29th by wounded knee creek the army attempted to get a indan to give up his rifle, when he refused they tryed to take it by foce and the rifle went off accadently. Then the soldiers opened fire and killed many women and children.
