  • Fort Sumpter

    Maj. Robert Anderson had 85 soilders. They were at fort moutlfie. Anderson wanted to move and not run into any of the other people. The ammunition was not suited. And the general lacked fuses for his exploding shells. No soilders were killed. And Anderson surrendered to Fort Sumpter.
  • Bull Run

    The union general was Irvin McDowell. He had 28,450 soliders. Ther was 460 killed, 1,125 wounded, and there was 1,312 captured or missing. The battle was fought in Virginia. He began by shelling the confederate across bull run. They didn't have as many solider but they had more tactics and things they could use.
  • Monitor vs. Merrimack

The Rebel cavalry, while moving north from Big Hill on the road to Richmond, Kentucky, on August 29, encountered Union troopers and began skirmishing. After noon, Union artillery and infantry joined the fray, forcing the Confederate cavalry to retreat to Big Hill.
