Harriet Beecher Stowe wrote a book called Uncle Tom’s Cabin. It was a huge success with over 300,000 copies sold in America, 1.5 million in Great Britain, and it has been translated into 15 European languages. In the book, Stowe portrayed her passion for antislavery by using religion, popular entertainment, and culture. (Published on March 20th of 1852)
