Election of Lincon
the US split up the votes for Republican and Democrat.Lincon won because there were more Republicans. The South became angry and seceded from the US. This lead to the Civil war because the North became angry that the South seceded. -
TX secedes from the Union
Once Lincon won the election the South became angry because they split the votes between Democrat and Republican. So the South states began secedeing from the Union. and on Febuary 23rd 1861, Texas secedes from the Union to become the 7th state in the Confedarcy. -
Houston gets kicked out of office
When Texas secedes Sam Houston does not think this is a good idea because he knows it would mean war and the North would be more prepared than the South with amo and food and guns and more people so he votes against it ,and before Texas can kick him out, he quits his job at office. -
Battle at Fort Sumter
When South Carolina seceded from the Union the US became angry and sent troops to Fort Sumter South Carolina told them to get off their territory when US sent goods and another group of men, South Carolina became angry, after Arkansas,Tennese,Texas,etc had sececed after Lincon became president, Lincon said that he would send a ship full of food and no men. On April 12th 1861 the South started to fire and the US surrenderd leading to a Confederate victory!!!!! -
Battle of Galveston
The Union blockaded Galveston so that hey could not get there goods and food.This lasted for four whole days!! then on january 1st the confederacy captured the Harriet Lane and ended the war in a confedeate victory! -

Battle of Gettysburg
this was a very famous battle in the Civil War. On July 1st 1863 confederate forces came to the the town from the west and north.On July 2nd Lee attemped to envelop the federals, first striking the union left flank at the peach Orchard, wheatfield, devils den and the round tops longstreets and hill divsions. and then attacking the union east of cemetary hill.and on the third day General Lee attacked culps hill and was deafeted by the union. -
Battle of Sabine Pass
Just like the battle of Galveston, the Union was trying to blockade the Confederate from getting goods. None of the confederate soldiers died during this battle. the Union waited there for a while and on sptember 8th the confederate attaked which ended in a Union victory!
