    The battle took place in Charelston Harbor , South Carolina. The people that were involved was the Unions commander Robert Anderson and the Confederate commander was P.G.T Beauregard. Confederate General P.G.T Bearegard dispatched aides to Maj, Anderson to demand the forsts surrender. Abner Doubleday was offered the honor of firing the first shot in defense of the forst. on April 13 Anderson surrendered the forst. the confederates won.

    The Batlle Of Bull Run took place at FairFax County and William County Virginia. The Union had 28,450 soldiers, the Confederate had 32,230 soldiers in this battle. The Confederate won. Some important leaders were Gen, Irvin McDowell and Gen, P.G.T. Beauregard.
    This batlle lasted two days. The goal was to make quick open the way to Richmond, the Confederate capital, and end the war. This batlle lasted two day. The morning of July 21st dawned on two generals planning to outflank their opponent’s.

The Battle of Fort Ridgely was an attack by the Dakota people over anger at their food rations they recieved from the federal government. Union troops handled the rebellion. More than 500 whites were killed and 2000 Indians were captured.

    Comander Lee found out that Harpers Ferry had not retreated after his attack on maryland. when Lee fond out, he tried to capture Harpers Ferry . Lee divided his army into three colums, three which converged upon and invested Harpers Ferry. During the attack A.P Hills army got there in time to save Lee's army from near defeat.

Because of the weather Burnsides army troops were having trouble traveling this was soon developed as the "Mud March". Soon the confederate army won the battle.

    The Battle of Gettysburg was a very large battle where many lost their lives. For example on July, 3, 1863 this was named "Pickett's Charge" where the union destroyed about 150 confederate weapons in the end there where 23,000 union and 28,000 confederate casualties.

    It started as a battle the union lost but ended with the siege of Vicksburg. Grant decided to lay siege of Vicksburg in hopes of winning the battle. The Seige lasted 47 days before the surrender of pemberton forces.

Late afternoon the south struck the left flank again and nearly broke throught but heavy cannon fire pushed them back. At the end of the day the north over ran the south.

Sheridan's troops trew back an attack by the confederets, then the confederets got renforcements, the union attaked the confederet works with some success. Grant ordered an assult on the conferets that got him slautered at all pionts. Grant now abonding the approch on richmond went south of the river.

    The Battle of Franklin took place in Franklin, Tennesse. There were 15,000 union troops and 23,000 confederate men. The main Generals were confederate General Hood and union General Schofield. The Union army won. After a previous defeat, General Hook wanted to take a victory from General Schofield. Hood tried to flank Schofield but Schofield marched right past Hood and put his army in existing defenses in Franklin. Schofield's army's counter attack won the battle.
