    It happend through the 12-14 in Charleston County, The US leader was Robert Anderson the CS leader was Beauregard. Confederates won. Garrison commander Anderson refused to surrender at Fort Sumter. Regiments, 580 total, US 80, CS 500.

    The Battle of Bull Run was a Confederate victory led by Beaurgard. The war led to army re-organization. The Battle was also known as, First Battle of Manassas. It was the first major land battle of the American Civil War. It happended in the state of Virginia. The Norths leader was McDowell.

    The battle lasted through the 8th-9th. It was fought at the Hampton Roads in Virginia. It was a Union victory, the North was led by Worden and the South by Buchanan. The U.S. had 4 war ships and the CS had 1 warship.

Lee into Maryland, General George B. McClellan, launched attacks on Lee's army, in defensive positions behind Antietam Creek. Happened in the state of Maryland.

    It happend in Virginia. The Norths leader was Burnside, the South's was Lee. It was a Confederate victory, it stopped the final Union dowance of 1862.
  • Emancipation Proclamation

    It was issued on January 1, 1863 but announced on September 22. The Proclamation declared "that all people held as slaves" within the rebellious states "are, and henceforward shall be free. It only applied to the states that had secceded from the Union. President Abraham Lincoln issued the Proclamation.

    It lasted through the 4th. It was in the state of Virginia, the leader for the North was Hooker, and the South was Lee. It was a Confederate victory, Lee soundly beat Union. Jackson died.

    Union, General William T. Sherman had more then 100,000 troops under his command. It was Sherman vs. Johnston in Tennessee. Shermans campaign against a Confederate force of some 65,000 under General Joseph E. Johnston. It was supposed to end the war, Sherman vs. Johnston.

    Abraham Lincoln was attending a preformence of the comedy, Are American Cousin, while at the show he was shot in the head. His wife was at the show with him Mary Todd Lincoln, a 28 year old officer, named Major Henry R. Rathbone, and Rathbone's fiancee, Clara Harris. The assasins name was John Wilkes Booth, after he murderd Lincoln, he dropped the pistol and waved a dagger. Rathbone pushed the murderer, off the blacony but managed to get away. It happened in the state of Virginia.

    It officialy ended the institution of slavery, is ratified. The ratification came 8 months after the war was over. It represented the culmination of the struggle against slavery. When the war began some in the North were against fighting what they saw as a crusade to end slavery.
