Fruitcake Weather
It is late november, and the old lady exclaims "it's fruitcake weather!" -
They bake their fruitcakes
Buddy and the old lady bake all thirty-one of their fruitcakes. They will give them to all their friends. -
Buying the ingredients for the fruitcake
Buddy, and the old lady go into town to purchase all the ingredients they need for the fruitcakes. The whiskey is the most expensive, but the man gives them whiskey in exchange for one of their fruitcakes. -
Give away their fruitcakes
Buddy and the old lady give away their fruitcakes. All thirty-one of them. The cost of the post office makes them broke. -
In trouble
The old lady gets yelled at by their mean relatives, because she gave 7 year old Buddy a little leftover whiskey. -
They chop down their christmas tree
Buddy and the old lady go far out in the woods to get a spectacular christmas tree, and they have to haul it all the way back to their house. -
Making kites
Buddy and the old lady make kites for each other for christmas. They both like kites, and their to poor to afford to buy one. -
Christams day
buddy and the old lady open their gifts, and go fly their kites. -
Military camp
Buddys other relatives decide that it is best if he goes to military school. He leaves the old lady. -
Death
The old lady dies, and they send Buddy a letter to military school telling him she died.
