mud-the earliest form of a multiplayer games was debuted

the precurser to world of war craft and second life was devolped in 1979, it was called MUD(shorts for multiuser dungeon). MUDs were entirely text based virtual words, combing elements of role-playing games, interactive, fiction, and online chat.

the first emicon was used while many people credit kevin mkenzie with the invention of the emicon in 1979, it was Scott Fahlman in 1982 who proposed using:-) after a joke, rather than the orginal-) proposed mckenzie.

the first DNS was created. The domain name system was inportant in that it made addresses on the internet more human-friendly compared to its numerical IP address countrparts. DNS servers allowed internet users to type in an easy-to-remember domain name and then convert it to the IP address.

the code for the www. was written by Tim Berners-Lee, based on his proposal from the year before, along with the standards for HTML, HTTP, and URLs.
