The power station in chernobyl was being tested very soon the reason for the test was to check that in case there was an power outage that everything would still contiue to work and keep power going

To do the test the workers had to change the energy supply of the power station to 37% but the authorities said that the power was too low and told then to put it at 50%

So they decide to remove some rods from the power station but not too many just in case they had to stop the power station but nothing happened

Since taken out a few rods from the power station didnt work the workers had to talk to people above them to ask to take out more so it was aproved so they started taking out more till they saw a solution

So as they keeped removing rods they did not see any result untill they had all but 6 rods in the power station the power levels rised to just 7% this was still very far from what they needed to take the test

After a while of waiting the workers thought the engine levels where at a corrects level and it was the right time to start test so they started the test

The test seemed to have aftcted the power station in a harmfull way the power station to boill above what it was meant to the workers tried to stop it but they had pulled out to many rods so it wouldnt be possible to stop it

after the power station how began to boil to high it became 120x the power it was meant to it was devistating there was a huge explosion
