Darwins scientific career began on his voyage where he identified the Galápagos finches, collected and tagged a number of bird species. His collection contained around 39 species of birds and some that were tagged and recorded are actually distinct today. He considered himself to be a naturalist and by going to the Galapagos islands he had the opportunity to study how birds evolved in different environments. Steinheimer, D Frank. Journal of Orinthology. Darwins bird collection.1831-1836.

Darwin set foot in Chile when an earthquake happened and he watched the life he knew crumble beneath him. He was faced with slavery and violence. The world was suffering and it made his world change. He questioned God. Darwin later went to Brazil and watched people being abused and it affected him mentally. He watched people being treated like animals. He observed the affects on the homeland after the earthquake happened, recording in his journal all that had happened. Wyhe, Van John.1835

Darwin found that evolution in which natural selection happens causes individual species to have certain characteristics. The difference in their genes cause the physical differences in these characteristics. He found out that even if two species are not alike if they grow together then they can overcome the same challenges. For example birds, even if they live in the same place they will develop different shaped beaks. All species develop to survive Ernst,Mayr.Harvard University Press. 1991.

In one of Darwins theory's he talks about natural selection. Everyone has genes that can make them naturally stronger or even more intelligent than someone else. For example in each generation offspring are produced to survive that timeline. Those with better genes or traits will survive the environment better than those who are weaker and less equipped for said environment. Stauffer.C.R. Charles Darwin Natural Selection.University of Wisconsin.1856-1858.

In this Video you will learn about the life Charles Darwin lived. He was a curious person and loved the outdoors. He voyaged and explored evolution along with species and DNA. The main theory he is known for is evolution and how compatible things are that are isolated together. The way things grow after generations so it can survive. He graduated from Cambridge and explored which took about five years. Darwin wanted to see what life was about. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBwr4AlxkX4
