Around The World on The HMS Beagle
After completing his bachelor's degree at Cambridge, Darwin received an invitation to join the HMS Beagle on their journey around the world as a naturalist. Having to pay for his place on the ship was a small price. He was at liberty to collect specimens and use them however he desired back home. Darwin wrote about all his observations at every new place he visited throughout the five-year journey.
  • Natural Selection

Darwin wrote a paper of his theory on natural selection, with no intention of publishing it. He had been previously researching how in the natural world the strongest most adaptive animals will prevail. What is Natural Selection?

    Evolution
Darwin proclaimed that humans were descendants of the ape family in his book "The Descent Of Man". A good majority of people believed that Darwins "theory" was an attack on society's moral foundations.
