Theory of Evolution
Charles Darwin came up with the Theory of Evolution. The Theory of Evolution is the theory that animals including humans have changed over time and become new species. For example there is the idea that humans have and chimpanzees have a common ancestor and that we both branched off and went in separate directions. The same goes for other living beings on earth as well as plants. It is due to the changes of evolutionary processes such as natural selection. -
Natural Selection
Charles Darwin also came up with the concept of Natural Selection. He came up with this theory at the same time as the theory of evolution. Natural Selection is essentially the selection of DNA in populations being carried over from time to time. Traits that are beneficial last from generation to generation and over time cause the species to all evolve in a certain direction.
