    The French and Indian war was a long lasting war between Great Britain and France. it lasted seven years so is also know as the " Seven Years War." The cause was from unequal balance of power between the two colonies however after the war ended the Treaty of Paris was signed allowing French to expand west towards the Appalachian mountains ( History.com ).
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    The Boston Massacre is one of the bloodiest massacres in history. British and Colonists lined up across from each other and when someone heard the words "fire" they fired their guns. No one knows for sure who called out the words but it was caused from tax on stamps. One man named Crisps Attacks was shot by one f the British and was well know from his death. ( History.com ).
  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
    The tea party act is when a group of colonists dressed up as the Mohawk Indian tribe and threw the British tea off of ships into the Boston Harbor. This occurred because of the rise of Tax on tea for the colonists from parliament ( History.com ).
  • Charles Birth

    Charles Darwin was born in Shrewsbury, England on February 12th,1802. Darwin was born into a family of scientists. His grandfather Dr. Erasmus Darwin's a scientist well known for his weird ideas, and his father and mother Robert and Susannah. Darwin started at the Edinburg Medical school but then soon became a naturalists from his love of Beatles and transformed to the Cambridge University to get his bachelors degree in art ( Smith 274 ).

    The Monroe Doctrine was a letter to the U.S. allowing Europeans to colonize in the americas. It warned the the europeans to not get in affairs of newly independence Latin America. This showed how powerful it was and how it can change America ( Ourdocuments.com ).

    Darwin was able to make observations on living things early in his life that changed the ideas of biology today. From finches beaks to fossils darwin realized that they all were related in some way and that we all came from one animal that was a common ancestor ( Karp 64 ).
  • Collection of Beetles

    Collection of Beetles
    Darwin Began collecting beetles during his early life which affected him to change his mind of being a naturalists instead of a doctor. When he found the bundle of beetles in the woods that changed his mind because he realized there was more science in the beetles then what he thought. William Darwin, Charles cousin also collected beetles so when Charles compared his collection to Williams it caused other events to occur leading him to his theory of Evolution ( Horan 93 ).
  • USS Beagle Voyage

    USS Beagle Voyage
    This trip is one of the biggest events in Charles life. Not only did it show him the ideas of evolution but i helped him to become a better person by teaching him how to life differently. It took him 5 years to travel around the entire world and discover different parts of the continent and what lives there. He kept a diary and wrote down everything he saw or did hoping him to find the idea of Evolution. He had observed animals, plants, bacteria, and brought some home to study ( Clark 65 ).
  • Galapagos Island

    Galapagos Island
    During his USS Beetles trip Darwin came across the Galapagos island allowing his study on living things expand. When he came to the island he discovered his idea of "Fiches" with is about 13 different types of beaks on a bird. Some are bigger then others or longer so its easier to dig for the worms while others are shorter so its easier to eat fruit and seeds. This event helped Charles with his idea of Evolution ( Horan 106 ).
  • Marriage

    Charles married his wife, Emma Darwin on January 29th, 1839. She was Darwin's first cousin. She was a naturalist, scientist, and helped Charles write the Origin of Species. They had 10 children however a couple died when they were younger because of diseases ( Clark 12 ).

    The Origin of Species is the most famous book about evolution. It shows Charles Darwin's idea of evolution and what he studied to get the idea that living things come from a common ancestry but change over time ( Horan 25 ).
  • Theory of Evolution

    Charles Theory of Evolution is spread and studied all over the world. His theory consists of his thoughts of all living things coming from a common ancestor that had evolved over time. The theory is made by natural selection which is genetic mutation occurring within an organisms genetic code preserved by helping in survival. However the theory was accepted at first because the people didn't want to believe they came from an animal but over time it became more and more popular ( Horan 85 ).
  • The Women Rights Movement

    The women rights movement gave women a equal position in there right to vote and not just male. Elizabeth Lady Stanton created a convention for the women's rights and fighting for women suffrage. This opened up the eyes of the people and allowed women the right to vote ( History.house.gov ).
  • The Ascent Of Man

    The Ascent Of Man
    The Descent of men showed how the theory evolution played a role on humans. The book talks about how humans came from a common ancestor of apes. Darwin expected many people to argue that humans didn't come from apes however because he had already published the origin of species people liked the idea ( Clark 390 ).
  • Charles illness

    Charles Darwin was diagnosed with Chromes Disease and was affected by the disease in many ways. He had started to get the symptoms of rashes, erythema, and boils on his skin after his voyage on the Beetle. He would suffer from many heart attacks from his heart problem and would always be on medication affecting him with his studies. On April 19th, 1882 Charles Darwin Died from a heart attack ( Smith 275 ).
  • Spanish Revolution

    The Spanish revolution was a social revolution that occurred during the outbreak of the Spanish Civil war. This resulted in many portions of the country for two or three years. This made an impact on mostly that area and the future of the colony relied on that ( History.com ).
