    Charles went to more than one colleges. The first being Edinburgh. His dad sent him along with his brother to study medicine. Darwin didn't enjoy studying it and hated the sight of blood and once walked out during an operation. Classes he did like were his theatrical chemistry class and Robert Jameson's lectures on zoology and geology. He came back for a second year and hated it even more (Brown).

While walking along the coast with one his most important mentors at Edinburgh, Robert Grant he made observations which led to a discovery. He discovered the sea mat Flustra larvae move by cilia. Grant taught him how to make observations which made him lead to this discovery. (Brown).

    After attending Christ's College in 1827 and paying his fees for the University, he came into residence on January 26 1828 (Charles Darwin & Evolution). He studied to be a clergyman since his father knew he didn't have a future as a physician.
