The time Darwin was in was the Colonization Era. Nations went out to explore. When they discovered new places, they colonized them. Darwin didn't colonize but he did explore. -
He was born in Shrewbury, England. He was the first evolutionist in the world. He thought that species all descended from one common ancestor. His curiosity for nature has helped him observe the world.
