    Charles Darwin set out on his first voyage on the HMS beagle on December 27th, 1831, from Plymouth England. Charles was very young when he sails twenty years old. when he was hired to be the ship’s naturalist. On the voyage he spent most of his time around south Africa collecting samples from different types of animals and plants. During this voyage he filled his notebooks with his observations he had seen.
