Odysseus made what is called the Trojan horse. We learn that Odysseus is a person who is willing to put up with a fight and do whatever it takes to win a war and earn peace. He also shows how much he cares about saving people. -

Lotus Eaters-Summary/Analysis
The lotus eaters were offering Odysseus men lotus and Odysseus took the and tied them up and told the men not to eat that plant or it would make them lose interest of going home. So he went back out out to sea. Odysseus was very caring and aware of the men’s danger if they would have eaten the lotus plant. He learned being at that place would lead his men off and his leadership could have possibly be a failure and they would not follow him any more. -

Cyclopes-Summary/Analysis
Odysseus came to a land with Cyclopes that he hated and despised for there lack of care for anyone.The cyclops ate some of his men and Odysseus came up with a plan and pretended his name was Nobhdy and he stabbed the Cyclopes eye and he was screaming in pain and the other Cyclopes got up and asked what is wrong and he said Nobhdy did it so they misunderstand what he meant and didn’t help him. This shows that Odysseus very smart when it comes to his attacks.
