The Arrival to the Past
The hunters show up in the past with Time Safari, Inc. Travis, the leader, warns the men to stay on the provided path so that they are unable to step on or kill anything, that could eventually ruin the future, such as a mouse. Eckels steps off the path when a dinosaur shows up. The men shoot and kill it just as a tree falls on it. Travis threatens to leave Eckels in the past, because he might have caused major changes to the future. Eckels travels back with them, worried that he made a mistake. -
The Election
Before the men go back in time, the new president, Keith wins the election. -
The Election
After the men go back to 1,000 BC, due to changes from the past, the president that won the election turned out to be Deutscher. -
The Trip
The day after the election, Eckels and two other men go with their leader, Travis, back in time to hunt dinosaurs. -
The Return
Eckels, Travis, and two other men return back to Time Safari, Inc. But, the place isn't the same as they left it. Spelling of words was different, the environment around them, and even the president that won the election had changed! Travis blames this all on Eckels, who had stepped off the required path in 1,000 BC and found a dead butterfly on the bottom of his shoe. Killing the one butterfly caused a chain reaction and changed everything. Travis shoots and kills him because of what he did.
