  • Skin Cancer Screening

    A skin cancer screening is a visual exam of the skin that can be done by yourself or a health care provider. The screening checks the skin for moles, birthmarks, or other marks that are unusual in color, size, shape, or texture. Certain unusual marks may be signs of skin cancer. You should begin doing this screening as soon as you are able and about once a week. I am age 17 and have just learned about this screening and will begin to do this
  • Colon Cancer screening

    Men should begin colorectal cancer screening at age 45. The screening will test a stool sample. If anyone in your immediate family has colon cancer at a younger age you might want to be screened earlier.
  • Prostate Cancer screening

    Two tests are commonly used to screen for prostate cancer: Digital rectal examination (DRE). A DRE is a test in which the doctor inserts a gloved, lubricated finger into a man's rectum and feels the surface of the prostate through the bowel wall for any irregularities. PSA blood test. You should begin getting prostate exams at age 50.
