Cancer Screening

  • Self Skin Exam

    Done every few months starting at any age. Done by looking at for abnormal spots or bumps on skin.
  • Clinical Breast Exam(CBE)

    Breast cancer screening- Examination of the breast, checking for abnormalities,performed by trained professional- done every 3 years starting at age 20
  • Pap test

    Performed by trained professional who collects cells from the cervix. This should be done 3 years starting at age 21
  • Self Examination-Breast Cancer

    Screening done by checking breast tissue for lumps, distortions, or swelling. Should be done annually starting at age 22.
  • Mammogram

    Breast Cancer Screening-Low-energy X-rays used to examine the human breast- Should be examined annually starting at age 44
  • Stool DNA Test

    Should be done at age 50, every three years.Done by looking at DNA changes in the stool.
  • Colonoscopy

    Starting at age 50, this should be done every 5-10 years. Done by trained professional who uses a colon-scope to look for any abnormalities in the colon like spots or growths
  • Lung Cancer Screening

    Done by using a CT scan to look for abnormal screening in lungs.Usually done for patients that smoke. Tested yearly starting at age 55.
