  • 97% of Hungarian refugee claims withdrawn and abandoned

    Canada had recieved 11,000 claims and most of which were ignored. Government had viewed the people as bogus refugees and thieves who were seeking to take advantage of our welfare system. This was viewed as a discrimination act in others eyes.
  • Government introduces Bill C-31

    The bill proposes many changes to the existing refugee determination system. It includes modifications to the Balanced Refugee Reform Act.
  • The new bill had introduced a new detention center

    Children that hold the title of a refugee were sent to detention (prison like) places. Not all but some children were forced to go and stay there, this new bill had introduced that children may need to stay there for a longer period of time. Coming out of this detention area had traumitized kids and had totally changed the course of their lives.
  • Canada applies new refugee protection bill

    On this date Canada had introduced a new bill which is called Bill C-31. In this the refugees rights and freedoms are protected.The Canadian Council are starting a program where they find out which refugees actually earn the title of being one and which ones are fake.
  • Biometric measure has started to take effect

    In order to protect Canada a collection of fingerprints and photos are gathered to avoid fault claims and people that might pose a threat to our society. We can research their backgrounds this way and come up with a reasonable soultion.
  • Kenney names 27 countries as 'safe' for claims

    27 countries claims to head to Canada will be fast tracked so they can reach here at a sonner time. This policy is known to be the "Country of Orign" meaning people within these countries are more honest into signing up as refugees and not as theifs. Countries like Mexico and Hungary are not in the list because of previous and present false claims.
  • Balanced Refugee Reform Act Bill C-11

    The government had changed the refugee act and had made it easier to make decisons, remove unwanted claims, find frauds. This was all to strengthen our immigration system and and ensure fairness and protecting refugees and making it legal for them to live here.
  • Canadian government starts to limit refugees of health medication

    This act was a way to save 100million dollars over 5 years while cutting the supply of medication needs of refugees that really dont need these benifits. The vulnerable ones will still countinue to be provided with full healthcare.
  • Canada`s response to Philippines Incident

    The Philippines typhoon incident had forced people to move out of the country and live somewhere else. This was a chance for them to start a new life in Canada, but the government here had hard decisons to make by accepting the more urgent ones and the family crisis sponserships and mainly the Canadaian residents that had gone there.

    After hearing about the devastating events that had taken place in Nepal the Canadian government had divided the appeals by priortizing them and considering the most affected ones. They then determine the more appropriate ones and manage them orderly.
