Canada joined the first world war. This was a time which showed Canada's loyalty, Military capacity and perseverance. This is a time when Canada was forced to innovate to keep up with their enemies' weaponry. This was surely a time of progression.

Canada's first major battle. This battle marked the German's first use of chemical warfare. The Germans had a great chance to progress in the battle after releasing chlorine gas, but with their perseverance, the Canadian army stopped the Germans from advancing. 6,000 soldiers were killed, wounded, or captured. Even with the loss we progressed because of our perseverance and development in war technologies. This in fact progression.

War art is art that depicts a certain battle, war or fight between two groups. This art did provide recognition of the war, but it did not do anything to progress Canada as a whole. This is not progression or decline.

In the battle of Vimy Ridge, Canada attacked with a strong unit. They captured 4000 German prisoners, and they did so in rough weather. This was an important victory at that time. The capture of 4000 Germans did help with the progression of the War. This is surely progression.

With the infantry, along with air forces, machine-guns, chemical weapons, and armoured vehicles, the Germans lost the world. This is surely a moment of progression by the Canadian army and allies.
