To the end of world war 1 t the german military started to change there camo to more of a woodland color to help them blend in with there surroundings. The material of the uniforms were mainly wool and leather.

Lucien-Victor Guirand de Sveola was the leader of the camoufleurs and he developed many new techniques, some of them highly dangerous, such as putting up artificial, camouflaged trees at night to replace actual trees with cramped observation posts.

They wanted to conceal their troops better for an advantage so they needed better clothing to match that enviorment. The material changed to a cotton material so that the troops would be more maneuverable, comfortable and alot less lighter.

The fabric is more soft and comfortability and is made of a cotton/polyester consruction.
