-
It starts with Violet, Sunny, and Klaus on the seashore.
-
Mr. Poe tells the children that their house got on fire and their parents died.
-
The children had to live with Mr. Poe and his family until he could find them a close relative.
-
The children had to live with someone named Count Olaf and along the way, they met a woman named Justice Strauss.
-
Violet and Klaus had to cook dinner for Count Olaf and his troupe (plus themselves.)
-
They went to the market with Justice Strauss.
-
The children complained to Mr. Poe that Count Olaf is a bad man, but they failed.
-
Count Olaf struck Klaus across his face out of anger.
-
Count Olaf lets the children be apart of his play (with Klaus and Sunny being in the crowd and Violet being the bride with Count Olaf as the groom.)
-
Klaus figures out Count Olaf's plan to really marry Violet to get her fortune.
-
Count Olaf traps Sunny in a cage outside of his tower to force Violet into marrying him.
-
Violet attempts to save Sunny but fails because of Count Olaf's friend and, (along with Klaus) they had to be stuck in the tower until the play.
-
Violet said "I do" to Count Olaf's proposal and signed a marriage contract. Olaf said that the marriage was real and that he controlled Violet's fortune.
-
Violet revealed that she wrote the contract with her left hand instead of her right hand. (According to they're towns marriage rules, the bride must sign the marriage contract with her writing hand, in this case, Violet didn't.)
-
Mr. Poe announced that Count Olaf was arrested for dangling a infant of his tower.
-
Someone turned off the theater's lights and Count Olaf, with his troupe, vanished.
-
Justice Strauss offered to adopt the 3 children, but Mr. Poe refuses.
-
Because of Mr. Poe's refusal of the adoption between, Justice Strauss and the children, the children were orphans until another relative adopts them.
