Fritz pfeffer (Mr. Dussel) a dentist, seemed very kind, and was a gentleman, he always made sure to thank Mr. Frank (Anne's father), and he had a very strong liking for children, so he eventually shared a room with Anne, over time, he became very grumpy and mean, and him being good with kids didn't seem true.

There was a break in, into the building, and the members of the annex were almost discovered, at this point Anne realized that it was her time to become independent.

Peter kissed Anne half on her cheek and half on her ear, and Anne felt a lot older than she should be and questioned herself if it was right for her to accept it, since a lot of her girlfriends hadn't gotten one yet, or since that usually happens to older girls.
