On September third 1939 France declares war on Germany. This forces the main the main character to be prepared and trained to be a nurse in war. -
Italy declares war on France.
Italy declares war on Britain and France. Because of this the main character is drafted into the war as a nurse. She expects the war to be easy and not affect her, instead it showed her how Grissom war is. -
Germany air raids on London.
On August 23rd, 1940 the first air raids were set on London. Because the main character is staying in London she is nearly caught in the air raids. -
German Blitz
Blitzkrieg against Britain begins, Lomdon is a key target. Onslaught of German air raids on other important cities in England including Southampton, Bristol, Cardiff, Liverpool and Manchester.
