Black cubes have taken over the world!
Some strange black cubes have appeared all over the world. They are everywhere, in every house, every building, every street. Nobody knows where they came from. Some people say it is a big advertisement campaign from Apple, announcing their new smart device. Some people say the aliens brought them. But so far nobody has claimed responsibility for them. People are wondering what they are, how they work, and if they are safe. -
Mysterious cubes.
For two days people wondered what those mysterious cubes were. Some scientists did some tests on them. People tried pressing on each side, giving voice commands, but nothing worked. On the third day, people started getting bored and ignoring the cubes. Since there were too many to just throw them away, they found uses for them. Some used them as paperweights, some as decorations. -
They can move!
On the fourth day, when people were finally ignoring the cubes, something happened. Some of the cubes sprouted legs and started moving around. Most people found it funny that the cubes could move, they were finally doing something, but some found it scary, that they could move without anyone controlling them. Or was someone actually controlling them? -
They are listening!
At night, when people were sleeping, the cubes moved around, scanning everything, and during the day they recorded every sound, every voice. Some people were adopting them as pets, giving them names, taking them with them to work or to school. Others just put them away in locked drawers or cupboards, just in case they were not what they seemed. -
Valentine's Day!
On the 14th of February there was another change, the cubes turned pink and a big red heart appeared on one of the sides of the cube. All the cubes were making a beating sound, all around the world the cubes beat as one. “Ba-dump, ba-dump”. At first, people found it cute and funny, but as the hours went on and the beating sound didn’t stop people started to be annoyed. Then, they got angry at the cubes. People were throwing them out of the houses because they couldn’t sleep with the noise. -
Aliens!?
It was two days after the cubes changed colour and started beating that people started believing that it might really be the aliens. Then, while everyone was looking up at the sky trying to find the aliens who started this, a big dark shape appeared in the sky.
