The first and last events do not directly impact the storyline but gives us a time period in which the story was happening in. The story takes place when most of Korea were rural and the urban areas only had building as tall as 3 stories. The story takes place in an area surrounded by farms and forests and consists of several houses and a single store.

When the bully tried to take money away from Grandpa's friend, he fought with him and pushed him back.

When grandpa finds a tall sand pile with his friend, they are immediately ambushed by the bully and his two lackeys.

Grandpa sneaks up to the bully, while he is getting ready to slide down, and pushes him hard. The bully breaks his elbow and a bone sticks out of his elbow.

When grandpa called the bully out on a one-on-one fight, the two lackeys silently pinned him down while the bully continued the one-sided fight.

When the bully comes out of his house, grandpa jumps him and takes revenger for what happened the day before.
