The first European settler to arrive at Adventure Bay was Abel Tasman, he arrived at Adventure Bay in November of 1642. Abel Tasman had two vessels that set off to Adventure bay, the Heemskerk and Zeehan. When Abel Tasman arrived at Adventure Bay, the Aboriginal residents could not reason with Tasman's choices. The ever-growing British population had diminished the Aboriginal population through transmission in diseases. The British also took native Aboriginal land sources.

The Industrial Revolution has had a significant impact to what is known as our Modern Day World. The Industrial Revolution began in 1760 in Great Britain. It was a time where manufacturing and mechanization of agriculture was at it's finest. New and efficient production techniques were developed, making textile production easier and less time consuming. The Industrial Revolution introduced the steam engine, sewing machines and other types of engines.

The Napoleonic wars were a series of wars between Napoleonic France and other European armies. The Wars started in France and ended in Waterloo. The Napoleonic Wars resulted in France losing hegemony and all of their other power whilst Britain gained Hegemony. This event is a significant event in history because when the hegemony changed from France to Britain there was a major population boost which affected the modern day world today.

Ned Kelly is commonly seen as a hero, as he stole from banks and gave that money to the poor. He also invented armour suits which commonly saved him form being shot. Aside from this, Ned was a criminal. From the Shootout at Stringybark Creek with Officer Kennedy, both slides are seen as contestable in history, because both sources have remained truthful since the shootout occurred. Kennedy's family book and Ned Kelly's primary source letter from the incident are both contestable sources.

The purpose of the Boxer Rebellion was to get all Europeans and Christians out of China, after they invaded. The Boxers (Chinese Fighters) fought off the Christians and Europeans with the countries that had signed with them. This is seen as an empathetic event in history because there is empathy towards the Chinese as they had to go to many lengths to protect their country. The Europeans took over land sources and power within China. The Boxer Rebellion purpose was to keep China safe. -
Through the Battle of Beersheba it is seen that there are many affordances and limitations to the primary sources given. For example, the primary sources given can be in a variety of social hierarchy of Soldier status. Sources can come from Light horse men or Lieutenants. This effects the information given because it could vary in truth especially from a Light Horse men to someone of a higher War status. From a light horse man it would most likely come from personal experience and relationships.
