    Victor: British, British General: William Howe ,Continental Generals: Joseph Warren, Israel Putnam, & William Prescott. This was the first major battled that sparked the Revolutionary War. It also showed the Americans that it was going to be a long, close war. The hill that the Americans and British fought on was known as Breed Hill. Also the British faced many losses compared to the Americans. The British lost about 1,000 casualties to their 2,300 that fought. The Americans lost 400-600 men.

    Battle of Long Island
    Victor: British, British Generals: Charles Cornwallis, Henry Clinton & William Howe, Continental Generals: George Washington, Israel Putnam & William Alexander. This battle was fought in Brooklyn. 63 of the British men were killed, 337 were wounded and missing while Washington had lost almost a quarter of his entire command.

The casualties at Brandywine were from a 10-square mile area of the battlefield, making the final determinations very difficult. The British only had about 600 killed and wounded. On the other hand the Americans had about 900 killed and wounded men

During the battle Britian's General Fraser dies and makes General Burgoyne to withdraw from the battle. This was a turning point in the war.

    Victor: Many say that it was a draw, British General: Henry Clinton, Continental General: George Washington. Both sides in this battle lost about 350 me either killed, wounded, or captured. Also both sides lost men because of heat exhaustion. Clinton and his troops evacuated Philadelphia to protect New York and Florida.

    Victor: British, British General: Colonel Archibald Campbell, Continental General: Robert Howe. The American defense was easily broken, they had 700 men and over 550 killed. The British only had 16 wounded and 7 killed. Howe had to retire to South Carolina.

    Victor: Americans, British General: Banastre Tarleton, Continental General: Daniel Morgan. General Tarleton and his men marched to the battlefield and attacked quickly. This was a turning point in the reconquest of South Carolina from the British. The British had about 310 men killed and wounded, and 712 captured. The Americans had about 150 killed and wounded.

    Victor: British, British General: Lord Charles Cornwallis, Continental General: Nathaniel Greene. Around 1,900 British were against 4,400 Americans. This battle took place in Guilford Courthouse, North Carolina. There were about 550 British killed and wounded and about 250 Americans killed and wounded in this battle.

    Victor: Americans with the help of the French, British General: Lord Charles Cornwallis, Continental General: George Washington. There were 8,800 Americans, 7,800 French and 6,000 British. This is the battle that ended the war and declared the Americans as the winners. About 500 British, 200 French, and 80 Americans died in this last battle of the Revolutionary War.
