Born in 1685, Bach is a huge part of the Late Baroque era. He lived his entire life in Germany and was an extremely prolific composer. He composed over 1,000 pieces of music during his life. He is best known for his work The Well-Tempered Clavier, Mass in B Minor, and Cello Suite No. in G Major, BWV 1007: I. Prelude.

Also Born in Germany like Bach, But studied in Hamburg then Italy. He composed his first Opera at age 20 and at 25 accepted the position as Kappelmeister to the Elector of Hanover. Was the Director of the Royal Academy of Music from 1720- 1728. Best known for his composition of Oratorio Messiah.

Very popular high Italian Opera. Lead by heroic characters and composed 24 operas for Royal Academy of Music and got popular around 1728. The Academy eventually wen bankrupt.

Oratorio began as a very small religious musical style and grew to mirror the opera style and scale. The role of the chorus became much more emphasized.
