Spanish was introduced into the curriculum. The school started with Rosetta stone.

Rosetta stone was dropped from the curriculum and a Spanish teacher was brought in to teach us. During this time, we had three teachers come and go.

Middle school - during this time we picked a language that we would take for one semester. We where graded with a rubric scoring from 1-4 based on grammar, speech, and vocabulary.

My high school didn't offer in-person language learning so it was strictly online for one semester to meet graduation requirements. The course was similar to duolingo.

This is when Japanese was introduced, material was hands on, required fast thinking, memorization, and was graded based on participation, memorization, and being present in class.
