    An inventor in a lab by the name of Homer Dudley came up with the vocoder. The vocoder made it easier for conversations to be heard over long distances. It was really important during WWII so the president could converse with others during long distances over the ocean.

    The first cassette tape was made by a dutch company by the name of Phillips. It works by containing a magnetic tape that contains iron so when it comes to contact with a magnetic field it causes a reaction which is what causes music to play.

    Nobotushi Kihara was one of the main inventors of the walkman. He worked with Sony and made the invention possible. It was a huge hit and was first made with aluminum then they made all the other models with plastic. Walkmans are essentially portable audio players and recorders.

    The Mp3 player was so special since it stored songs in a computerd format called MP3. The storage drive on this thing was so small but it contained many files. Most of these files were songs. The small drive is what made it so popular since it was small and portable.

    After many audio playing technologies came out the Ipod seemed to be one of the greatest ones. It had a mechanical scroll wheel which allowed music to be looked through easily. It also had about 5gb of storage which was more than enough for looking through music.
