  • Beagle Voyage

    Darwin starts his journey circumnavigating the world on the Beagle from England. For the next five years this ship will be on its voyage, starting the beginning of Darwin's works for natural science. His works were later published in 'Structure and Distribution of Coral Reefs’ in 1842. This voyage had other works published that shed light to geologists as classical works, the 'Volcanic Islands visited during the Voyage of the Beagle' and ‘Geological Observations in South America' (Brunskill).
  • Orgin of Species

    Orgin of Species
    In 1859, Darwin published one of his greatest works, ‘The Origin of Species by means of Natural Selection'. The theory of evolution was born, stating that with each generation there is an alteration of genetics which will increase the survival of newer generations. This is also known as Darwinism.

  • Influence on Nature

    In 1862, Darwin published ‘Fertilization of Orchids'; 1876, ‘Cross and Self-Fertilization of Plants’; 1887, ‘Forms of Flowers’; and in 1881‘On the Movements and Habits of Climbing Plants,’ ‘Insectivorous Plants,’ and ‘The Movements of Plants’ that lead to the influence on plants and nature.   • The Descent of Man

    In 1871, Darwin goes further into evolution of man, race, sex, ethics in his book, 'The Descent of Man and Selection in relation to Sex'. Here, he pushes the boundaries even further for the scientific and philosophical spectrum. (Brunskill).
