The Treaty of Paris, also known as the Versailles treaty, was a treaty that made Great Britain gave up and leave some territories to the USA people. Also, this made the Government to start thinking in replacing the Articles of Confederation due to some deficiencies produced by them. Postwar depression and War debts
After the war, the whole country felt on depression due to the slow recovery of the Economy. Many farmers lost their farms. Also, there were a lot of war debts, and in 1783, the Government decided to add a tax on imports which made the Economy be worse. Shays's Evolution
During September of 1786, in Massachusetts, some farmers reveled against the courthouses because they were losing their land. The legislature of Massachusetts asked the Congress for help, but they hadn't got enough money and this made the government check the Article of Confederation.
