Tunisia was a dictatorship an they were sick of he power inequalities. Eventually, Zine El Abidine Ben Ali was overthrown in January 2011. The people had won.

    The revolution in Egypt took place on January in 2011. Hosni Mubarak was the president during this time in Egypt. At the time Egypt was a dictatorship. The revolution took place for many reasons. The people were upset with the electoral fraud, low wage, government corruption, high food prices, and much more. Throughout the crisis, over 840 people died, and 90 police stations were burned by protesters. The people overthrew the government and now have more of a democracy.

    Yemen's citizens were largely upset with the government but there was a lot of hope for them. They had a lot of courage and hope after Tunisia Revolution. They were upset with unemployment, economic conditions, and corruption. The president at the time was Saleh. On January 27, over 16,000 protesters met to protest at the capital. On February 2, Saleh announced that he would not rerun for election. They got a new president and the freedom they wanted.

    The people of Iran had a revolt after the 2009 election. The government shut down the protest and after that there was no more issues. In 2011, the citizens became encouraged by the Tunisia protest. They were ready to start protesting again. On February 14, protesters gathered to protest. They were upset with the governments economic system and corruption. They were encouraged by Tunisia and Egypt. In the end nothing really happened except a lot of casualties. They gained nothing.

    The Libyan revolution started in 2011 because there leader, Muammar Gaddafi, was killed. Muammar Gaddafi was the leader of Libya. Citizens were very upset with Gaddafi. They revolted by protesting. The authorities responded with violence and opening fire. The citizens were upset unfiar prices on items and politcal corruption. Muammar was killed and alot of political leaders were also killed.
