  • The 7 year war

    The 7 year war
    This war was fought to control land in Canada.
    It's after effects caused conflict in the colonies.
    England increased taxes on the colonies and ends western expansion with the Proclamation of 1763.
    overall increasing its imperialistic rule of the colonies. The 7-year war caused England to increase its control over the colonist. This affects the way the Americans conduct business angering some people creating radicles and rebels whom will rebel the Crown more in the future.
  • Sugar act/Stamp act

    Sugar act/Stamp act
    The British impose taxes to pay back its debt to the Dutch from the 7-year war. This angered many of the colonists, not only because they were being taxed, but because they were being taxed without representation. Many merchants were influenced to boycott buying products from the British. While other colonists would smuggle products into America. increasing the need or soldiers.
  • The Stamp Act was repealed

    The Stamp Act was repealed
    Britain repealed the stamp act. the boycotts were successful. this fueled the rebellious fire of the colonists. it taught them that if they came togerther against the tyrant king that they could overthrough what \ever he does
  • The Townshend Act

    This act was to tax food and other necessities, but the revenue was not used to pay back the war debt it was used to pay the troops that enforce the taxes. this angered a lot of the colonist fueling hate against the king.
  • the Boston Massacre

    The Boston Massacre was the event when a troop of British soldiers killed six Boston protesters. this event leads to mass propaganda. used to convince other colonies to boycott buying goods from the colonist.
  • The Boston Tea Party

    the Boston tea party was the first act of rebellion against the British from the colonies. the king of England was livid about this so he created another act. This act punished everyone in mass even the loyalist. people from Springfield were stripped of there right for what the radicles actions of the rich people in Boston.
  • The first Continental Congress was established

    This was the first meeting of the Congress to address the problems the colonies were facing. they created a boycott of British goods in hope to reverse the intolerable act. this further angered the king causing him to make further action.
  • The battles of Lexington and Concord

    this battle took place in both of these towns in the title. the goal of the British was to take the huge weapon stockpile in Lexington to prevent the colonist from resisting. the colonist herd out about this so the reacted in a stand of with the British arm. while the battle accord in Concord the Lexington militia was able to hide the weapons. this battle supplied the militias all over America with hope and morality that they can fight the tyranticle king.
  • The Bunker Hill battle

    this was a battle between the British and the colonists and the. it was an even victory. this gave the colonist confidence that they could face the strongest nation in the world and win. they just had to fight.
  • The Declaration of Independence is ratified

    This document declared that the colonies would leave from the British rule. this document started the war for independence from the British Empire. it was signed by multiple delegates from colonies all over America.
