    Discovering the New World
    Christopher Columbus discovers the New World. Although he finds new soil, it is not the country he originally intended to travel to with his shipmates and fellow colleagues. He was wanting to travel to land in China, sadly he horribly misevaluated the location if that country due to lack of explorations and knowledge of the "outside" world.

    Aztec's Downfall

    Aztec's Downfall
    The Aztecs were up against Cortes and his army infiltrating on their land. Before they could defeat the colonists, however, the Aztecs contracted the smallpox disease. This disease killed about 90% of Aztecs' population ultimately sealing their demise to Cortes and his men since their numbers were cut down very severly. As Aztecs people were dwindling, Cortes eventually took out the remaining lives who didn't contract the disease outbreak.

    Cotton
    As the slave trade to take action, cotton farming began to become more popular among slave holders. Florida began to have slave farming, which was labor intensive farming processs the slaves had to perform. This use of cotton farming soon became an "incentive" to the slave trade in Africa, and was picking up speed due to the lack Native Americans that had been killed off by disease or colonists.

    As the slave trade picks up from the lack of "laborers", countries around the world being to hone in on the use of African slaves. England in particular, sets up the Royal African Company, which would bring goods for the colonists to use slave labour more than just open trade. The growing use slaves increased dramatically for people, and soon England became the number one slave trade holder in this time.

    With the greater use of slaves and trade being developed and progressing, certain food items made its way back up to Europe. New World foods such as corn, potatoes, chocolate, tomatoes etc. If these new food products didn't reach Europe, the Italians might have never gotten tomatoes, or cocoa may have not reached to Switzerland. These colonial raw materials that they received were very influential .
  • Independence Day

    Independence Day
    As more and more people began to filter into North America, the country itself was becoming a nation of diversity and cultures. As England continued to keep a leash on North America, it was becoming too strong of a demand, with the taxes and the courting of British soldiers. Soon, the authority was broken, and two nations went to war, or better known as the American Revolution, fighting for their independence.
  • Ups and Downs

    Ups and Downs
    As time passes on, the growing use of slaves still was in cirrculation, and was becoming more and more popular. England after fighting for a while, they did manage to double their population from 1492, due to most of the people still incoming slaves. The Americas on the other side, had their population slashed, and mostly were immigrants, not the native people.
  • World's Fair

    World's Fair
    As the growing population of England is stirring, it produces attraction and other people to flock towards the country. London soon hosts the first World's Fair, featuring exotic foods, exhibits of cotton production, along with other interesting events taking place. England sought to establish superiority amongst other nations from its popularity and hosting of World's Fair.
